Don Newberry is the Tulsa County Court Clerk. He took office as the elected Court Clerk on January 1, 2017. Court Clerk vs County Clerk

Tulsa County splits clerk duties between two separate offices. The names sound alike, but they hold different records. Sending a request to the wrong office slows everything down. The simple test is whether the record came from a court case.

The Court Clerk handles court cases. 3. Request the document in person at Room 200, by mail, or through the division phone line, and state how many certified copies you need.
4. Pay the copy and certification fees for the document. Older or imaged files may route through records storage or archives.
5. Pick up the certified copy at the counter or wait for it to arrive by mail if you requested it remotely.

Marriage licenses are issued by the Court Clerk, not the County Clerk. Both parties must apply in person at the office. The family relations counter on the second floor receives a wide range of domestic cases. Criminal and Traffic Court Clerk Division

The criminal and traffic counter handles state cases filed in District Court. It covers felony and misdemeanor files, state and county traffic tickets filed by information, search warrants, criminal property recovery, and appeals from municipal rulings. The direct line is 918-596-5471. City tickets inside Tulsa run through the Municipal Court, not this counter.

The page confirms that District Court traffic citations and search-warrant records flow through this counter. Municipal traffic and parking tickets do not, since those belong to the City of Tulsa court system.

Broken Arrow Court Clerk Satellite

The Court Clerk runs a satellite office in Broken Arrow for residents in the south and east parts of the county. It handles selected services so people do not have to drive downtown for every task. The satellite can issue marriage licenses and provide certified copies of marriage licenses and divorce decrees. It does not handle every courthouse function.

Older divorce decrees up to 2004 can be copied at this location. Call ahead to confirm a specific service is available, since the satellite covers a limited set of filings.
